Friends mourn 14 year old kick boxer, who reportedly died after collapsing during national title fight (photos)
A 14 year old kick boxer, Scott Marsden, from Hillsborough, Sheffield has reportedly died after he collapsed during an English National title fight in Leeds and was rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment.
The fight which happened on Saturday, had to be stopped by the referee after he received so many blows to his body and then collapsed, and now friends early Tuesday morning have taken to social media to mourn Scott, who they say passed away last night.
As at press time, the West Yorkshire Police said he isn't dead but is in 'critical condition' and they won't treat the case as a suspicious one but his friends and fellow kickboxers say he died overnight.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said to Dailymail UK: 'At 1.20pm on Sunday, police were contacted by medical staff at Leeds General Infirmary reporting a 14-year-old boy who was in a critical condition after collapsing during an organised kickboxing contest at Alexandra Mill, Morley, on Saturday night.
'The family of the boy are at the hospital and have been spoken to by officers. Inquiries are being carried out into the circumstances.'Kickboxing clubs have also planned a one minute silence at their next fighting event in memory of the boy.
May his soul rest in peace.

Telecom Giant, Etisalat May Leave Nigeria Over $1.2bn Loan Default
Reach Large Audience With Our Platform, For MUSIC Promotion And Advert Placement Call 07030831003
Abu Dhabi telecoms group, Etisalat, may sell its stake in Etisalat Nigeria, which has defaulted on a $1.2bn loan, but wants the company’s debt restructured before it does so, Reuters quoted two sources as informing it on Monday.
The Central Bank of Nigeria and the Nigerian Communications Commission on Friday agreed with local banks to pursue a default deal rather than a receivership for Etisalat Nigeria so as not to deter investors and to avoid a wider debt crisis.
Etisalat is due to meet with creditors on Tuesday (today) or Wednesday to discuss the default, the sources said.
It was not clear whether Etisalat, which has a 45 per cent holding in the Nigerian unit after converting a loan to equity in February, would divest completely.
The Senior Vice-President of Etisalat, Ahmed Bin Ali, according to Reuters, declined to comment, while Etisalat Nigeria could not be reached.
“It is at an early stage,” one source said of the sale.
Last week a banking source told Reuters that the Nigerian affiliate of Etisalat had given notice to its lenders that it would miss a payment in February, but the two sides have yet to agree terms.
Etisalat Nigeria signed a $1.2bn medium-term facility with 13 indigenous banks in 2013, which it used to refinance an existing $650m loan and modernise its network.
But an economic downturn, a currency devaluation and dollar shortages on Nigeria’s interbank market led to it missing payment, the Vice-President for regulatory affairs at Etisalat Nigeria, Ibrahim Dikko, said.
Banks involved in the loan include Zenith Bank, GTBank, First Bank, UBA, Fidelity Bank, Access Bank, Ecobank, FCMB, Stanbic IBTC Bank and Union Bank.
Abu Dhabi state investment fund, Mubadala, which has a 40 per cent stake in Etisalat Nigeria, wants a solution found, another source said. Mubadala declined to comment.
Etisalat has been hit hardest among foreign firms by dollar shortages in Nigeria. Firms that invested in the country in the era of high oil prices are struggling to repay loans or keep operating as the oil producer suffers from a slump in oil revenues, hitting its currency and dollar reserves.
Etisalat’s Chief Strategy Officer, Khalifa Hassan al-Forah al-Shamsi, told Reuters that it was making sure that in markets where there were currency fluctuations, operating costs were in local currencies. Though he was not responsible for Nigeria.
Etisalat Nigeria has 20 million subscribers, according to Nigeria’s telecom regulator, making it the country’s number four mobile operator with a 14 per cent market share. South Africa’s MTN has 47 per cent; Globacom, 20 per cent; and Airtel, a subsidiary of India’s Bharti Airtel, 19 per cent.

Discover What Makes a Ministry (Organization) Successful and lasting:
Let me begin with this question. Have you ever seen an organization that never survived beyond its first 5 year circle? Did you know that while some survived, they never made any impact in their life circle. For instance, I know of ministries that were birthed almost at the same time with Fountain of Life Church and Daystar Christian Center but did not experience same growth space. Can we then say God was partial? No! Same grace was available to all.
Every organization or ministry that is growing and doing well is applying a principle. The different between a stagnant institution and a flourishing one is the amount of information at its disposal and the application of certain principles and strategies.
Dear Friends, I want to share with you what I have learnt. Get ready for this month edition of Leadership Development Master Class as we unravel SECRETS to BUILDING A LASTING ORGANIZATION and how you can apply these so called "secrets" to grow your ministry and achieve a desired result.
I am particularly excited to be your host. it's going to be an awesome time as I will personally guide you in this journey.
Seminar Highlights:
- WHAT LEADERSHIP IS NOT
- MARK of GREAT LEADERSHIP REVEALED
- HOW REAL LEADERS THINK
- HOW SUCCESSFUL INSTITUTIONS THINK

5 Moves That Make You Look Bad In Bed— And How To Fix Them
1. Fidgeting: A guy will be bad in bed by how he moves. Quick,
jerky or nervous movements show plainly that he’s not comfortable in
his own body, and won’t be comfortable with mine.
Fix it: The quickest solution is exercise, especially a masculine sport such as boxing or MMA. If you don’t enjoy getting punched in the grill repeatedly on a daily basis, go for Crossfit—it totally changes how you move, increases body coordination and obliterates stress. Say goodbye to nervous, jerky movements and say hello to a new body type and level of fitness. As a bonus, most Crossfit boxes (gyms) are jam-packed with hot, fit women
2. Queasiness: You’re grossed out by the human body and freak when a girl has leg hair, you spot menstrual blood, etc. Our girl Andrea, 27, tells us, “the yard shouldn’t have to be perfectly groomed for you to play in it.” If you’re verbally or visibly uneasy with the female body or your own, she senses that you’re probably going to be a pretty sterile, unimaginative lay.
Fix it: Get over it, bro. s*x is sometimes down and dirty. The more you learn to dig that, the more comfortable she’ll feel letting her guard down around you both on the streets and between the sheets.
3. Indecision: Think “I don’t know, what do you want to do tonight?” That kind of wishy-washiness hardly impresses Leyla, 26. “When he leaves everything to me on a date, it leads me to expect that he’s going to be the same way in the bedroom, and women don’t want that.”
Fix it: Man up and plan a date. It doesn’t have to be perfect—just putting forth the effort goes a long way. Quick tip: Invite her to something you’re already planning on doing. “Hey, have you been to the Chinese Market downtown? Some friends and I might check it out this weekend. They’ve got all kinds of unidentifiable things that you can eat. Feeling adventurous enough to join us?” The added benefit is, if she flakes, you’re not stuck sitting around.
4. Bad Touching: This is one of the top complaints women have about men regarding foreplay and s*x. It’s something that even many experienced guys get totally, horribly wrong. Emily, 28, explains that she “has to like the way his casual touch feels. If I unconsciously tense up and pull away from his touch, I listen to my body. Also, if he touches me too much or not enough, I can tell he won’t know how to please me when things get more intimate.”
Fix it: Your touch should be natural, and escalate from friendly to something more over time. In other words, the exact opposite of the ultra-common mistake—not touching until you’re trying to “make a move.” Also, don’t look at the area you’re touching or call undue attention to it, which will creep her out big time. All this requires practice.
5. Lack of Adventure: Saying things that make you sound boring in the sack is unforgivable. Among the worst blunders is being judgmental about other people’s s*xual proclivities. Katie, 29, was turned off when a guy expressed a bit of revulsion about a past s*xual exploit. “He basically labeled himself a dead cow in bed when he told me that the last girl he dated was ‘kind of a freak’ because she wanted him to pull her hair. Sorry, but almost every girl I know loves that at the right time. If he thinks that was weird, I’m going to have to teach him everything, and it’ll probably fall on deaf ears.”
Fix it: Keep an open mind, and, if you can’t, shut the hell up. The saddest part is, the poor schmuck in the above example was probably just testing the waters to see if Katie would be into it—he just handled it all wrong. The best way to introduce something new, by the way, is to gently give it a try while you’re in the act and go from there. Just, maybe don’t bring out the handcuffs right away.

4 children drown in Galadimawa River, FCT
Some eye witnesses told that four deceased together with other children were washing at the river before the incident occurred.
the incident happened at about 11a.m. when the children were still washing in the river.
Miss Blessing Elisha, 14, an eye witness said that they were together at the river washing while others were playing.
She said several efforts made to stop the children from playing in the water yielded no result before the incident.
“I
actually did not see them entering the water because I was busy
washing, suddenly I was called that three of them had entered the river.
“It was then I looked up and saw the fourth one going in and an attempt made to rescue her looked like I was getting drowned.
“Then I left her and ran to call for help,” she said.
Mr Alhassan Abdulwahab, one the first people that responded to the distress call, said it took about three hours to get their corpses out of the river.
He said the information gathered from other children at the scene showed that the youngest of the deceased, Hakila was the first to enter the river.
He said other children were drowned while attempting to rescue their colleagues.
“We
came to the scene of the incident immediately we got the information,
and it took some time before we discovered their corpses because our
nets were already in the river for fishing.
“It
was after I pulled out my net with a very big fish in it that I saw the
four corpses in the same area with their stomach not swollen,” Abdulwahab said.
the four corpses were buried by the river side in line with the tradition of the community.

Amazing Nigerian skills thrill FCBESCOLA trainer, Villa
The
Technical Director of FCBESCOLA Academy in Lagos, Bernat Villa, says he
is excited at the quality of the talents available to his academy,
saying the youngsters have shown that Nigeria is blessed with abundant
talents that can compare with the best footballing nations of the world.FCBESCOLA is a soccer academy created to offer students aged five to 18 years the opportunity to learn the values and methodology of FC Barcelona, Spain.
The academy currently has its temporary site at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.Speaking to The Guardian at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Villa said it was a great opportunity coming to Nigeria to teach students who have individual talents.
“At the beginning when we started working with the kids, it was hard for them to understand our methodology. But now they have begun to understand how we want them to play and how it is being done out there at FC Barcelona. This they have begun to cope with and have started improving our way of playing the sport. “We have good players here in the academy and when people ask me one thing about the country, I tell them about the individual skills possessed by the Nigerian players.
“With the training we have had with them, now they are beginning to understand also the collective part of football aside the individual part, which we also want them to know. Definitely I will always want to come back again to train these Nigerian kids,” he said.
The technical director, who said FCBESCOLA Academy was just the beginning of more things to come in order to impart the students on the Barcelona methodology, said the tactical aspect of football would also be taught to integrate it with the collective part of the FCBESCOLA methodology.
“The students are equally improving in the tactical area of the game which is also very necessary in the collective part of the game. This is just the beginning as we have two more terms to the end of the first session and we will keep on working with the kids towards producing good set of players comparable to any where in the world before the end of this year,” he stated.
With the exception of
the state of health of President Muhammadu Buhari and its consequences
for the nation, the most topical economic issue in Nigeria is the fall
